Urdu is one of the popular languages which has earned worldwide attention and considered as on of the official language. Urdu is the main language in Pakistan and most of the people in Pakistan consider Urdu as their main medium of writing and speaking. More than eight percent of the total population in Pakistan have consider Urdu as their first language and the rest ninety two percent of Pakistan population understands and speaks Urdu as their second language. 10.5 million People in Pakistan are estimated as native Urdu speakers and approximately 50 million people are figured as Urdu speakers all over the world.

Approximately 104 million people in Pakistan alone can speak and understand Urdu. In Pakistan Urdu is included as a compulsory subject in schools and colleges. Along with English, Urdu poetry and literature has given prime importance and taught in each and every school and college. Urdu poetry is rich in history and reflects the culture and tradition of Pakistani people.
